The Harvest invoicing and time tracker web service is exactly what Ive been looking for. The added feature of this app has been a big bonus! The app seems to work great for me so far.
Never miss billing time with your clients again. From your desktop to your iPhone and iPad, Harvest will keep you on track. Seamless interchange between all applications. Easy to use and will even remind you if you forget to turn off the timer. Syncs with QuickBooks or you can send invoices directly from the program. I tried several programs when I needed a timer and Harvest won hands down. A+ program.

I run a company installing a servicing smart home systems at houses all over the city. We are now into our second year using Harvest for tracking time and expenses. There isnt a day where I dont open the Harvest app 10 times and log into the web version at least once. We have had between 5 and 8 employees using this app every day to enter their time, which is very easy to enter and switch between customers and tasks. They select "billable" tasks so that I can be pull up a report and confirm that the customer has been billed and we get paid! Employees enter their expenses and mileage which gets entered under a specific job as well. At the end of the week I can use a report to easily enter the data into my accounting software for payroll, expense re-imbursment. Prior to Harvest, the employees would send in excel spread sheets which they would generate at the end of the week based on their notes. That was often in-accurate, and was definitely time consuming compared to Harvest. Harvest has been helpful in adding some features that we recommended, like submitting time sheets from the app, so the employees dont have to pull out their laptop just to submit their time sheets, and now entering start and end times in the app rather than just the total time, like in a prior version. Thanks! Job reports are also great. When starting a large project, we enter a budget for each task on a job. Then I can track the progress and get notifications if a task goes over budget. Very useful app!
Simple, clean. Does the job. Please add the ability to attach files to invoices like we can for estimates. Thanks.
Using harvest for over 2 years now, and its indispensable for running a business and keeping track of job times and expenses.
My construction company uses harvest to create estimates, manage projects, invoice our customers and such. The combination of smartphone app and good web based console works well. There are a few shortcomings that cant seem to be addressed despite my requests but theyre tolerable.
Website entry is faster by 4x. Should be other way around.
Really like the product. Easy to use and run reports. Very flexible and intuitive.
I love the simplicity and convenience of Harvest. I track my time and expenses as I am on the move, which makes for easy billing. I wasnt thrilled with a monthly subscription fee, but it is worth every cent as I am able to accurately record my time on my mobile device. I cant imagine going back to my old manual system. I recommend it for small business.
Dont know what Id do without it. Best time and expense tracker Ive used ever.
As a freelancer I have found this app very useful in billing my client accurately. I tried other apps concurrently with this one - however Harvest is above the competition. I hope they will stay that way.
Just some bugs with ios9. Keeps crashing out when I try to select time for tracking. So currently unusable with ios9. Im sure a fix will come out soon.
Im and engineering consultant. I program for a living and I have to say, this is the most robust and friendly application. Very nice for accounting and makes month end way more pleasurable.
I get to the Google sign in page asking for username and password. As soon as I tap the username field the app crashes.
Its a great invoicing tool. It does everything I want and more. I am a contractor and I use it almost exclusively for tracking hours, payments etc... The only improvements I could think of are: - adding multiple currency support on same invoice - allow attaching more than one file per expense and not only pdfs
Ive used the Harvest on-line (SaS) service for a few years now, and the Harvest app since it was first released. As a consultant, Harvest tracks my time, prepares and issues invoices to my clients, tracks invoices that are paid (or not), and compiles all the reports needed to manage my business. Having the app in my pocket (on my iPhone) is not just convenient, its a money-maker. If you dont capture your time, you cant bill for it. The Harvest development team are responsive to user feedback, and continue to evolve the app to make it more functional.
Im always in the mindset of optimizing internal processes, so when I read about Harvest, I was excited to check it out. The seem less integration with Asana and other applications makes it an ideal time management app for agencies and businesses of all kinds. Smooth user interface and custom features makes tracking time a breeze, and the mobile app itself is very easy to use.
We use the app for all our employees. It has a multitude of reports that are useful. Raw data can be exported for additional analytics. Apple Watch app is impractical, however.
