Harvest: Track Time & Invoice App Reviews

Perfect for tracking time and billing.

I use this to track time. Does not allow me to add Categories. There needs to be an easier way to adjust the time. Like +/- buttons to add/subtract minutes rather than typing in numbers. We should be able to add/subtract to an active timer without having to stop it. We should be able to have default timers already set up that we use everyday.

The new favorites and home screen integration features are absolutely awesome. These increase the usefulness of the app above the current web app even with both immediately accessible. My original review continues: My employer uses harvest, and this app makes tracking my time easier. Especially if I dont have time to run to my computer.

This is a good app, very functional. Something that keeps happening to me is the appearance of "unsynced entries" that I need to resolve because the server couldnt sync them. I always end up deleting them. Its a minor annoyance, not a major issue.

Looking forward to have a full suite of functions on the app, not just time sheets.

Its difficult to see task codes when using the app to bill while traveling. Otherwise its a reliable app that performs without hiccups.

This is such a great tool when Im at home, working on the go and need to review my work. Love it!

Ive used Harvest for years for my business. The desktop version is wonderful. But the app is lacking on some important areas. I do all of my invoicing and estimates for my clients through harvest. So itd be nice to be able to edit invoices, or do anything with my estimates (as you cant do anything with estimates on the app right now). If they introduced all their desktop features to the app Id be excited.

Quick interface, no bugs, and does its job well

Love how easy Harvest is to navigate. My bookkeeper just transfers to Quicken, so easy. Also creating invoices quickly when needed is efficient and easy!

It works well. Billing is easy. I will keep using it. Id like to see a more natural method for retainers--current method is a workaround that is conceptually confusing. Id like to know keyboard shortcuts--I make dozen of entries per day and would like to click less.

The Harvest app is a great supplement to their online product. Our team uses both. I highly recommend Harvest.

This app has been great for tracking time for different tasks which I bill at separate rates.

Ive used harvest for a number of years and really value its utility. The app is a super useful augmentation. I would like more access to invoicing through the app, but thats the only detractor.

v4.2 Update: Even better than before. Super slick; highly useful. Bravo, Harvest Team. I dont get why there are so many one-star reviews (note that these are mostly from years ago). This tool is simple and straightforward, and it always works. I can track and edit my time allocations so easily, and it interacts seamlessly with my desktop. Harvest has executed in this app what they describe, and if you want something else then its your expectations that are primarily at fault. Thats not a condition that warrants one star.

I think they do what they say theyre gonna do. I think its a little pricey. If like to see this offered for almost have the monthly fee. I think more needs to be offered for this price.

Saves a bunch of time by allowing expenses to be entered immediately. It would be awesome to incorporate the feature of office lens so the receipts are scanned properly. Also copy paste options would be nice for time recording.

Im a freelance web designer and frankly I dont know how I managed to keep track of my time before I started using Harvest. I use it nearly every day and it keeps me organized,accurate, and makes invoicing so much easier. Copying tasks to a new day is one of my favorite features - no to do list on my desk ever gets completed in one day so this is super helpful. There are so many other little details that make my life easier too! Thanks for a well thought out and reliable app!

And expenses, too. Pro tip: make expense categories match the irs categories!
